State Bank of India:

The Premier Public Sector Bank of India. Has a few branches in Srinagar and a couple more in the country side. The Bank has a many ATMs situated in and around Srinagar City, in Lal Chowk. Accepts a range of Credit and Debit Cards. The main Branch is also situated in Lal Chowk.

Punjab National Bank:

Has a couple of branches scattered around Srinagar City. ATM Services are still in Infantile stage.

HDFC Bank:

The first Private Sector bank in Srinagar. Provides Services till Late in the evening. Has 2 branches in Kashmir with an ATMs situated in MS Shopping Mall and Jehangir Chowk, Lal Chowk. Provides ATM Services through VISA Branded Cards.

IMPORTANT TIP: As yet Very FEW Shops and Business Establishments (ME) provide the facility of Transactions using CREDIT CARDS via POS Terminals so Visitors are advised to Carry Cash or Debit Cards (ATM use) while going for shopping. However almost all shops dealing with Handicrafts are POS equipped.
